Netgear No Firmware Update Button
If there is no firmware update available for your router this message will show up stating that you have the latest firmware.
Netgear no firmware update button. The router searches for new firmware. The mad thing about the email i received was that it told me the model i own d6400 then told me to go and find it on the netgear support site. Top of screen shows a new firmware is available.
If new firmware is available click yes. The firmware update starts and the router restarts. Select firmware update or router update.
Click firmware and software downloads. The firmware begins to download and a progress of the download is displayed. Click on the arrows on the top right corner to see the tab for router update.
After clicking on the router update tab hit the next button to check for firmware availability. If i manually go to download the firmware update it is the same version as what i already have as shown in the upper right of my router admin screen. After you click the update button do not try to go online turn off the router or do anything else to the router until it finishes restarting.
This was on firefox but i also tried ie 11 with same result. When prompted are you sure you want to upgrade click upgrade to proceed. Unzip the downloaded file and run the exe.
Click choose file or browse then locate and select the firmware file that ends in img or chk. Under current versions select the firmware version that you want to download and then click the download button. Yes button missing from firmware update assistant email is ok but it has to be accurate and easy to understand.
